The Playshop will combine all the best bits of the famous Rocket's routines inspired by the Primary, Intermediate and Advance Series of Ashtanga Vinyasa, and then blends them into a faster, more highly charged power through the sequences.
We'll break down the key poses of the Rocket series, adding modifications to make certain postures more accessible to newcomers, and at the same time playing with unusual transitions to add some extra challenge for those ready to play harder.
This class is full of core and upper body strengthening drills, inversions, back bending and spinal twists to invigorate and awaken the nervous system.

In this playshop, we’ll take the favourite bits of the sequence working on modifications to help you get into your first free-standing pincha, or for the regular inversion pilots we’ll flirt with the some of the more spicy transitions to make your progress through the sequence as graceful and seamless as possible… how about floating through a handstand on your way from Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog) to Astavakrasana (eight angle pose)?

Sconfiggi la paura di capovolgerti scoprendo la meccanica del volo e trova la tua strada attraverso inversioni e verticali. In questo workshop affronteremo tutte le basi, dall’appoggio delle mani al corretto posizionamento del corpo, passando per il benefico uso del respiro e i bandha che aiutano a realizzare una impeccabile inversione. Esploreremo come attivare i muscoli e trovare il corretto allineamento per inversioni sicure e impareremo come coordinare il respiro al movimento. Il focus sarà sulla potenza di addominali e braccia, tecniche di bilanciamento delle braccia, inversioni aggraziate e sicure da headstand-sirsasana al trepiede e da pincha alla verticale, e avrete tutti gli strumenti che vi servono per diventare dei fanatici della verticale! Alcuni di voi diranno addio al muro mentre altri troveranno per la prima volta la posizione grazie ad esso.

Sconfiggi la gravità: galleggia con forza, grazia e precisione attraverso la giocosa routine di Rocket Yoga. Sia per principianti entusiasti che praticanti esperti (minimo 6 mesi di pratica). Sia che tu stia facendo il tuo primo tentativo verso la verticale o che tu abbia già “volato” molte volte, questo è il momento di portare la tua pratica al livello successivo e salire sul “razzo” per volare attraverso questa sequenza giocosa e veloce di posizioni combinate dalla prima, seconda e terza serie di ashtanga vinyasa. In questo workshop, mentre esploreremo la sequenza di Rocket Yoga, scomporremo tutte le principali posizioni con un focus particolare sulle inversioni e sull’equilibrio sulle braccia, come Pincha e la verticale, ovvero ciò che rende il Rocket Yoga così gratificante. Quindi se siete bloccati dalla paura di capovolgervi in questo ambiente divertente e sicuro potrete superare queste barriere. Non dimenticatevi che state facendo un inversione ogni volta che andate nella posizione del cane che guarda in basso! Ci sono anche tanti benefici per la salute nel fare inversioni, come invertire il flusso sanguigno, aumentare la circolazione, rafforzare il sistema immunitario, inviare sangue al cervello e stimolare la mente. Le inversioni inoltre aiutano a migliorare la forza dell’addome e della parte alta del corpo, aumentano l’energia e elevando lo spirito! E non dimentichiamoci che sono divertentissime!
Le inversioni nella sequenza di Rocket Yoga sono accessibili a tutti perché Larry Schultz, il fondatore, ha sviluppato le giuste modifiche per provare che “siete più forti di quanto pensiate”. Ma c’è anche molto altro da imparare visto che Ambra userà i suoi anni di esperienza come ballerina per accompagnarvi attraverso la preparazione per costruire controllo, precisione e consapevolezza del corpo.

Quando non vengono rilasciate, diventano energia bloccata nel corpo e possono trasformarsi in dolore. Inoltre passando la maggior parte della nostra giornata in piedi, seduti o guidando, i nostri fianchi perdono mobilità e diventano stretti e tesi. Tensioni accumulate nelle anche e nella catena muscolare posteriore possono contribuire a problemi alla schiena ed alle ginocchia. Possono anche essere fonte di grande frustrazione per i praticanti di yoga essendo che molti elementi della loro pratica possono essere limitati, particolarmente le flessioni frontali, le inversioni, la posizione del loto e… mettere le gambe dietro la testa! Questo workshop è progettato per tutti coloro che vogliono aumentare la loro flessibilità. Located in Gilcrux, Cumbria, England. This retreat location is one of the most scenic and stunning areas of north England. On the doorstep to the Lake District join us for a weekend for an immersion into yoga. The yoga schedule will explore different yoga lineages. The practice inspired by Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Forrest, Dharma and Gokul. This opportunity is ideal to improve one’s practice, feel re-energised, and be guided by two experienced practitioners and teachers, Ambra Vallo and Davin Jones.

We will explore postures that aid in increasing the mobility of the pelvis, loosening the
hamstrings and opening the hips.
   
This workshop will include a deeper exploration into "peak" poses such as Head to Ankle, Hanumanasa (Splits), Eka Pada and Dwi Pada Sirsasana (One or Two leg behind the head).

We will conclude with a guided deep relaxation to get rid of any tension left in the body and make you feel rested and re-energised.

Masterclass 11am · 2pm 

This Masterclass will bring together postures from different lineages. A dynamic and fast-paced flow of yoga, guided with Sanskrit names of the asanas, recommended for students with previous experience in Hatha or Ashtanga Yoga.  Practitioners will be encouraged to modify postures, and make their own interpretation of the traditional asana if needed. The class will be full of upper body strengthening, inversions, back bending and spinal twists to invigorate and awaken the nervous system and leaving the body charged with shakti. The class is accessible to ANYONE who want a challenge in their practice.

If you want to break through the boundaries of your practice and the limitations of fear of inversions, and start to test the realms of anti-gravity, this workshop is for you. Together, we will learn how to build these challenging poses from the foundation up.You will learn that flying in yoga is not about just strength, it’s about technique. You’ll learn to lose the fear of going upside down, develop an understanding of the exercises and drills to help you build strength and stability in arm balances. In a safe and fun environment you’ll have the opportunity to practice drills and moves to help you achieve a solid handstand (or improve your existing one), test new heights, learn to drop safely, find control, but more importantly, the yogic Holy Grail; the Secret to Floating. We will dive deep into how to create freedom and strength in your shoulders, neck and upper back, through the use of focussed breath and Forrest inspired Yoga poses. 

You will safely learn to unlock these habitual tension spots by strengthening and lengthening the key muscles around the joints to create space and ease of movement.

Bringing focus and intelligence to these ‘problem’ areas will help you to glide through your life with grace, poise and freedom and a greater sense of spaciousness; a must for anyone shackled to a desk during the daytime, anyone active but suffering injury and anyone who walks through life with habitual tension in their neck, shoulders and upper back, in fact, ANYONE!

"Safe, Intelligent & Comfortable backbends"

Are you a backbend lover or backbend hater? Whichever you are this is the workshop for you :) 

The workshop will focus on building strength in the legs and core and gaining flexibility in the shudders, hips and back to achieve safe backbends.

Learn to backbend with ease and freedom. The first two hour will be dedicated to learning different drills and techniques that will help strengthen the core and legs, and engage correctly the bandhas to create a solid, and safe base for your backbends. In the second part of the workshop, were will work on the flexibility of the shoulders, chest, hip flexors and spine in order to deepen your backbend practice. You will learn to use your breath and fundamental alignment techniques to achieve an healthy, deep beautiful backbend. We will break down the different components of the backbends and delve deeply, yet safely into these wonderful poses.
