Rocket Yoga ®

 

This intensive training is designed to share and breakdown the world famous Rocket Routines. They are physically awakening and mind soothing with enhanced drills, core routines and modifications to support students in deepening their experience with the advanced poses of the Ashtanga System. 6-day sessions break down the Rocket 1, 2 and 3 routines.

 

Learn about the principles of the Rocket routine, a series of postures based on a modification of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga primary and intermediate series. The perfect marriage of tempo and sequence, these advanced routines are appropriate for all levels of students. With plenty of ways to modify the classical poses, the benefits of the poses are transmitted equally to renew vitality and energy.

 

This vibrant routine is called the “Rocket” because, “it gets you there faster.” The Rocket is designed to wake up the nervous system and feed it the precious prana it craves while promoting a spirit of change and freedom in the practice.

 

The Rocket sequence design by Larry Schultz are a new perspectives of the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa series. Ahstanga vinyasa have six sequence (primary, Intermediate and Advance series A, B, C and D) according to the tradition each posture will be teach when the student reach certain level of flexibility and strength to be able to get into the full version of the asana.

 

Larry rearranges the traditional sequence and developed three different routines call as Rocket I, II and III. Each of this dynamics routines will work in different parts of the body, opening the main joints and nadi channels, allowing the energy to flow freely helping you in remove any blockage. This deep cleansing process will bring your awareness to a higher state and also will make your body flexible and stronger.

Rocket I:

 

This routine is design mainly to work on your lower body making your foundation Stronger. Also, will help you to develop more core strength useful to keep your back healthy. This sequence is similar to the traditional Primary Series, however the order of the asanas differ from the traditional version, this arrangement will rise up your energy creating lot of vitality

 

Rocket II:

 

This sequence is focus mainly on arm balancing, back bending and hip opening. Lot of ingredients from Intermediate series of Traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa is practicing here. The idea of the sequence is introduce those postures from Intermediate series who can help you to open more your back and hips to allow the pranic energy to follow as free as possible, helping you to keep your body healthy.

 

Rocket III:

 

This routine call by Larry as Happy Hours or BBQ Rocket, is just a mix of Rocket I and II, combine a lot of fun, upside down and challenging postures. This series will work on your physical and metal body in many different ways, allowing you to recognize your limits, but also the potential of your practice promoting on you higher levels of stamina and focus. Rocket three is an incredible ride, full of self-awareness.

 

All our sequence can be modified according to every students needs. The main Idea of our practice is bring more awareness to your body and rise up your consciousness. We are also always open and ready to offer modifications, building the practice step by step, allowing the body to open gently and promoting a gradual transformation instead of force your body to get into a particular asana.

7am-11am Kriya, Pranayama & Asana (one of the 3 Rocket Routines).

  2. Astral body, Kriya, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandhas & Drishti

  3. Asana Hands On Assists: Verbal, Visual, Physical

  4. Rocket Philosophy Fundamentals

  5. Workshops: Learn the art of sliding, gliding, and floating in your Sunsalutations and Vinyasa Transitions.

  6. Incorporating Inversions like Handstand and Forearm stand into your regular practice.

  7. Strength Training Dills to bring perfection and ease to seated vinyasa jump throughs and jump backs.
