Most people spend the majority of the day sitting in a flexed position, looking down with a rounded back and shoulders folded forward.
In addition to having poor posture, they may also suffer from back pain, thanks to that permanently slouched position.
This workshop will take you through the components essential to develop shoulders, core and back strength. It will build a solid foundation to a safe long lasting yoga practice. This knowledge will allow you to move with more ease and less struggle enhancing your experience and enjoyment.
FLOAT FORWARD, BACK AND GLIDE THROUGH….YES MY ARMS ARE LONG ENOUGH!! 1-3pm
In this workshop we will break down the various stages of jump forward, back and through. We will demystify the technique of those “seemingly unachievable” transitional movements to make them accessible to all. Find greater ease and lightness in your practice, no matter at which stage you are at. Let’s make the impossible possible!
We will learn to find the correct alignment, coordinate core and upper arm strength, shift the weight into the hands, and use the breath and bandhas to assist you in the lift off. Understanding the mechanics of flight, patience, faith and constant practice are the key to success.

UNLOCK THE NECK, BACK AND SHOULDERS 1-4pm
Do you suffer with habitual tightness and tension in your shoulders, neck and upper back, or suffer repetitive-strain injuries as a result of your working practices? If you do, this workshop is for you! We will dive deep into how to create freedom in your shoulders, neck and upper back, through the use of focused breath and specific Forrest Inspired poses.
You will safely learn to unlock these habitual tension spots by lengthening the key muscles around the joints to create space and ease of movement.
Bringing focus and intelligence to these ‘problem’ areas will help you to glide through your life with grace, poise and freedom and a greater sense of spaciousness; a must for anyone shackled to a desk during the daytime, anyone active but suffering injury and anyone who walks through life with habitual tension in their neck, shoulders and upper back, in fact, ANYONE!
